The Kodak Prinergy workflow system is a PDF-based, printing workflow–management tool that organizes prepress, plate production, and digital press output. The Prinergy system manages tasks such as file optimization, trapping, color management, proofing, color matching, imposition, archiving, film-making, platemaking and digital print document management for increased process control and productivity.
Prinergy is a scalable system, allowing you to use only the components that you need for your workflow. You can easily add functionality by enabling features.

Prinergy product family

The Prinergy product family bases includes:

• Prinergy Entry Level—a basic Prinergy system
• Prinergy Mid-Range—Entry Level plus Trapping, Rules Based Automation, and Preps licenses
• Prinergy High-End—Mid-Range plus double refine and trapping licenses, Business Link, Dashboard, Advanced Preflight, Regional Versioning, Kodak Staccato screening, PrintLink, and Kodak ColorFlow Pro

Output is not included in the Entry Level, Mid-Range, and High-End base licenses. An Output Pack is required to enable the generation of output from a Prinergy system. Only one Output Pack may be licensed per system. Choose one of three output packs: 4-up, 8-up, or VLF, according to your largest CTP or digital device. Each of the three output packs includes a DCL (Device Connectivity License), two JTP renderers, signature booklet output and vector output.

Additional feature packs for Entry Level are available:

• Digital Pack—provides features and functionality for managed connectivity to digital presses
• Flexo NX Pack—for sale with NX devices only, provides NX-specific packaging features
• Packaging Automation—provides RBA and packaging specific features for Prinergy Entry Level

Products that are related to the Prinergy family (and may be included in the Mid-Range or High-End bases):

• Kodak Prinergy Business Link—software that automates the exchange of production data between a prepress workflow system and a Management Information System (MIS).
• Kodak Preps—imposition software for the commercial printing industry.
• Kodak InSite—a Web portal that lets you (the printer) and your customers (print buyers) work with print jobs over the Internet.

Legacy base licenses of Prinergy included one of the following base products:

• Prinergy Connect—a full-featured Prinergy system for commercial and publications printers who need page processing, imposition, and film-making or platemaking.
• Prinergy Powerpack—a Prinergy system designed for offset, flexographic, and gravure packaging printers.
