Customer files are the input source files that you use to produce the final printed product.
Important: The Prinergy Evo Server computer must have read, write, and modify privileges on the folder from which you submit input files to Prinergy Evo. It is a best practice to put your input files on the Prinergy Evo server computer and mount to them from your Prinergy Evo client computer.
You can bring files with the following formats directly into Prinergy Evo:
- PDF 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5 (separated or composite) generated by qualified software, for example, Acrobat software
- PDF/X-1a:2001
- PDF/X-3
- PostScript Level 1, PostScript Level 2, and PostScript Level 3 (separated or composite)
- EPS (Encapsulated PostScript)
- DCS and DCS2 (both single- and multi-file versions)
- Populated job tickets in PJTF and JDF format (from Preps or Kodak Pandora step-and-repeat software)
- One-bit TIFF
For existing DCS files for which the CT/LW is unavailable, see Copydot scans and other DCS files.
Composite files are preferred, but separated files such as those created with InDesign software, or other page layout software, are also acceptable. However, the separations set in separated input files cannot be modified in Prinergy Evo. With composite input files, you can decide at the last minute how you want to output colors. If you require trapping and color matching, you must use composite input files. You can mix composite and separated files in the same input file.
It is a best practice to always include or embed fonts in your input files.
Customer files can be stored on any server or disk to which the Prinergy Evo server computer has read, write, and modify access.

The following input formats are also supported if you have a licensed CEPS JTP. When generating CT/LW and TIFF/IT files for Prinergy Evo, you must ensure they are trapped and color-matched before you add them to Prinergy Evo.
The CEPS JTP allows you to convert handshake CT/LW pages to PDF subpages.
The CEPS Conversion section of a Refine process template defines how Prinergy Evo handles CT/LW or TIFF/IT-P1 input files. The CEPS JTP can be used to convert CT/LW and TIFF/IT to PDF files. For existing DCS files for which the CT/LW is unavailable, see Copydot scans and other DCS files.
