Certified Process for Color Confirmation jobs require the same processing resources as basic proofing, with the following specific setup and ongoing requirements:
- Media configurations that reference signed ICC profiles
- Frequent calibration of the proofer
- Color bars that reference a specific spectrophotometer type, artwork, and target L*a*b* values
- Layouts that include the appropriate color bar
- Calibration and color bar measurements collected by the specified spectrophotometer type
- Automatically printed measurement results on each proof

The following table shows how profiles are signed for the Certified Process for Color Confirmation.

|---|---|
| Proofer profile | Media configuration name and a proofer profile category |
| Simulation ICC profile (also known as a source profile for the DeviceLink profile) Note: The simulation ICC profile only needs to be signed when you are using a pair of ICC profiles, instead of a DeviceLink profile. | Simulation profile category only |
| Simulation DeviceLink profile | Media configuration name and a simulation profile category |
