...
Lists the color libraries that are defined in the color database. Two kinds of libraries are available—factory and user. You cannot change factory libraries, but you can create and edit user libraries. Select a color library to display the colors contained within, or in the case of user libraries, to add or remove colors.
Add
Opens the New the New User Library dialog Library dialog box, enabling you to add a new user library for a specific color space, such as CMYK or L*a*b*. For example, Matchprint Inkjet proofers that support white ink, such as the Epson Stylus Pro WT7900 printer, can use CMYKW color libraries in hot folders or virtual printers.
Remove
Removes the selected user library from the color library database
...
Displays the alternative color space and values for the color—L*a*b*, CMYKW, or CMYK. You can edit the alternate color space in user libraries only.Note: The CMYKW color space is for Matchprint Inkjet proofers that support white ink, such as the Epson Stylus Pro WT7900.
LAB
Specifies that your new color library use the L*a*b* alternative color space for color definitions. In the Color Database Editor, the Alternate Color box enables you to apply a L*a*b* color recipe for each new color that you add to the library.
Opacity
Specifies the opacity of an L*a*b* color. Only Epson Stylus Pro WT7900 printers with white ink can use the Opacity option to print white ink. White ink is the only opaque ink available with the Epson Stylus Pro WT7900 printer. Settings of 1 or greater enable white ink to print. (The Opacity value is not an ink value. Kodak Proofing Software uses information in the proofer profile with the L*a*b* color definition to transform the Opacity value to an ink value for white ink.) Typically you will use the Opacity option to define white flood, but you can also use it with the LAB options to define opaque colors. If desired, you can print the White Level and Opacity Chart to identify an opacity value for white ink.
Note: The Opacity setting does not affect the preview color patch.
CMYK
Specifies that your new color library use the CMYK alternative color space for color definitions. In the Color Database Editor, the Alternate Color box enables you to apply a CMYK color recipe for each new color that you add to the library.
CMYKW
Specifies that your new color library use the CMYKW (cyan, magenta, yellow, black, and white) alternative color space for color definitions. In the Color Database Editor, in the Alternate Color box, you can apply a CMYKW color recipe for each new color that you add to the library. The White option specifies how much white ink to use on the Epson Stylus Pro WT7900 printer. You can use the White option to define a recipe for objects in input files that include white ink—that is, specify a combination of values for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, and White. Alternately you can use the White option to define a recipe for objects in input files that define white flood—that is, specify a value for only White. If desired, you can print the White Level and Opacity chart to help identify the needed value for the White option.Only Epson Stylus Pro WT7900 printers with white ink can use the White option to print white ink.
