Background

If you have RGB images or graphics that you want to print using a standard printing method, you must convert the images and graphics to a CMYK color space. Converting RGB to an industry standard CMYK ensures greater consistency and predictability in print, and may be required to meet a customer's print specifications. 

Tasks

Goal
Add an RGB color input to the GRACoL C1 2006 color setup you created in a previous activity, and then define the custom RGB reference using a sample data file from your ColorFlow installation folder.

Task 1: Set up an RGB Reference device as a color input for a Color Setup.

  1. In ColorFlow, in the Color Setups list table, select the color setup named XX Proofer to Industry PCO.
  2. Open the Device dialog box by selecting View > Devices or double-click anywhere above the PCO in the color setup viewer panel.
  3. From the Devices dialog box, drag and drop the RGB Reference device over top of the PCO.
  4. Close the Devices dialog box.
  5. In the RGB Reference device condition, click the Properties icon .
  6. In the Name box, choose Adobe RGB (1998)
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click on the conversion icon in the connector between the Input and the Primary Color Output (PCO)
  9. In the Conversion Definition dialog, leave DeviceLink Method as DeviceLink and leave all other settings as default.
  10. Click OK to start the input conversion DVL creation. It will take a minute and when completed the connector area will turn green.

Task 2: Refine a page in Prinergy using the color setup

  1. In Prinergy, create a new job and name it XX Refine RGB to GRACoL C1 2006 (where XX = your initials) .
  2. Create a new Refine process template, and name it ColorFlow Refine RGB to GRACoL C1
    1. Select the Color Convert check box and expand the panel.
    2. In the Match Colors area, select Enable ColorFlow.
    3. In the Snapshot list, select Current state.
    4. In the Color Setup list, select the XX Proofer to Industry PCO color setup.
      In the Convert to Destination area in the Primary Color Output list, the PCO is automatically set to GRACoL 2006 Coated 1.
    5. Ensure that under the Untagged Content section, the RGB Images and RGB Graphics check boxes are checked and all other settings are cleared.
    6. Save the process template.
  3. Refine Chart_TintRamp_CMYK.pdf with the new process template. You will be able to see Prinergy Process Info that that RGB graphics have been converted from Adobe RGB (1998) using a DeviceLink profile.

Outcome

You have added an RGB Color Input to a Color Setup that converts all RGB images and graphics from Adobe RGB to an industry standard CMYK color space (GRACoL 2006 C1).

  4. Führen Sie ein Refining von Chart_TintRamp_CMYK.pdf mit der neuen Prozessvorlage durch.

Ergebnis

  2. Aprire la finestra di dialogo Dispositivo selezionando Visualizza > Dispositivi o facendo doppio clic sul visualizzatore delle configurazioni colore.
  3. Dalla finestra di dialogo Dispositivi, trascinare il dispositivo di riferimento RGB nella parte superiore del PCO.
  4. Chiudere la finestra di dialogo Dispositivo.
  5. Nella condizione del dispositivo Riferimento RGB, fare clic sull’icona Proprietà.
  6. Nella casella Nome, inserire XX RGB Reference File (where xx=your initials).
  7. Fare clic su OK.
  8. Fare clic sull’icona Profilo della condizione del dispositivo.  
  9. Fare clic su Importa.
  10. Individuare e selezionare \ Programmi\Kodak\ColorFlow\SampleData\Profiles\Adobe ICC Profiles\RGB\AdobeRGB1998.icc.
  11. Fare clic su OK.

Attività 2: Rifinitura di una pagina in Prinergy tramite la configurazione colore

  1. In Prinergy, creare un nuovo processo e assegnargli un nome, come XX Refine to RGB (where xx=your initials) .
  2. Nel nuovo processo, selezionare Modifica > Modifica attributi processo ed effettuare le seguenti operazioni:
    1. Dall’elenco Istantanea predefinita, selezionare Stato corrente.
    2. Dall’elenco Configurazione colori processi, selezionare la configurazione colore GRACoL C1 2006.
    3. Fare clic su OK.
  3. Creare un nuovo modello di processo di rifinitura e denominarlo ColorFlow Refine - GRACoL C1:
    1. Selezionare la casella di controllo ColorConvert ed espandere il pannello.
    2. Nell'area Corrispondenza colori, selezionare Abilita ColorFlow.
    3. Nell’elenco Istantanea, selezionare Stato corrente.
    4. Nell’elenco Configurazione colore, selezionare la configurazione colore GRACoL C1 2006.
      Nell'area Converti in destinazione, nell’elenco Output colore primario, GRACoL C1 2006 è selezionato automaticamente.
    5. Assicurarsi che, nella sezione Contenuto non contrassegnato, le caselle di controllo Immagini RGB e Grafici RGB siano selezionate e che tutte le altre impostazioni siano deselezionate.
    6. Salvare il process template.
  4. Raffinare Chart_TintRamp_CMYK.pdf con il nuovo modello di processo.

Risultati

La conversion du RVB vers un CMJN aux normes de l'industrie garantit une cohérence et une prévisibilité supérieures dans l'impression, et peut être nécessaire pour respecter les spécifications d'impression d'un client.

Objectif
Ajouter une entrée de couleurs RVB au réglage de couleurs GRACoL C1 2006 que vous avez créé lors d'une activité précédente, puis définir la référence RVB personnalisée à l'aide d'un fichier de données d'échantillon à partir de votre dossier d'installation ColorFlow.

Tâche 1 : configurer un périphérique de référence RVB en tant qu'entrée de couleurs

  1. Dans ColorFlow, dans le tableau de la liste Réglages de couleurs, sélectionnez le réglage de couleurs nommé GRACoL C1 2006.
  2. Ouvrez la boîte de dialogue Périphérique en sélectionnant Affichage > Périphériques ou double-cliquez sur la fenêtre de visualisation du réglage des couleurs.
  3. Dans la boîte de dialogue Périphériques, faites glisser le périphérique Référence RVB sur la SCP.
  4. Fermez la boîte de dialogue Périphérique.

  6. Dans la zone Nom, saisissez XX RGB Reference File (where xx=your initials).
  7. Cliquez sur OK.

  10. Accédez à \ Program Files\Kodak\ColorFlow\SampleData\Profiles\Adobe ICC Profiles\RGB\AdobeRGB1998.icc et sélectionnez-le.
  11. Cliquez sur OK.

Tâche 2 : raffiner une page dans Prinergy à l'aide du réglage de couleurs

  1. Dans Prinergy, créez un travail et nommez-le XX Refine to RGB (where xx=your initials) .
  2. Dans le nouveau travail, sélectionnez Modifier > Modifier les attributs du travail et effectuez les opérations suivantes.
    1. Dans la liste Instantané par défaut, sélectionnez État actuel.
    2. Dans la liste Réglage de couleurs du travail, sélectionnez le réglage de couleurs GRACoL C1 2006.
    3. Cliquez sur OK.
  3. Créez un modèle de processus de raffinage et nommez-le ColorFlow Refine - GRACoL C1 :
    1. Cochez la case Color Convert et développez le volet.
    2. Dans le volet Contretypage des couleurs, sélectionnez Activer ColorFlow.
    3. Dans la liste Instantané, sélectionnez État actuel.
    4. Dans la liste Réglage de couleurs, sélectionnez le réglage de couleurs GRACoL C1 2006.
      Dans la zone Convertir vers la destination, dans la liste Sortie de couleurs principale, GRACoL C1 2006 est automatiquement sélectionné.
    5. Sous la section Contenu non balisé, assurez-vous que les cases Images RVB et Graphiques RVB sont cochées, et que tous les autres paramètres sont décochés.
    6. Enregistrez le modèle de processus.
  4. Raffinez Chart_TintRamp_CMYK.pdf à l'aide du nouveau modèle de processus.

Résultat

Vous avez ajouté une entrée de couleurs RVB à un réglage de couleurs pour raffiner une page et avez converti toutes les images et graphiques RVB vers un espace chromatique CMJN respectant les normes industrielles.
