Background

You can generate a PDF Verification report to verify the following:

• If the If a calibrated color response of a of a print calibration curve, a PCO,  or an SCO Primary Color Output (PCO) or Secondary Color Output (SCO) matches either the target response target response or the predicted the predicted response.

• If the predicted response of a a predicted response of a print calibration curve, a PCO, or an SCO using the curve or the DeviceLink method you have chosen or SCO matches the color response of the simulation or the conversion target using the curve or DeviceLink method you have chosen.

Tasks

Goal
Create Verification reports to check if the color response of a print calibration curve matches the target. In this activity, you will create two reports: the

1. The first

1. Verification report compares the predicted response to the target response

2. The second Verification report compares the measured color response to the target response

This activity assumes that you have already created a print calibration curve curve XX new print calibration curve for gray balance in in a previous activity . 

Task 1: Generate a Verification report to compare the predicted response to the target response

1. In ColorFlow, click the Print Curves tab.
2. In the Calibration Curves table, select XX new print calibration curve for gray balance.
3. In the viewer window, click the Verification icon Image Removed Image Added in the connector between the CMYK Reference and the Offset Press panels.
4. In the Calibrated Output Verification dialog box, click the Measurements tab at the top of the window.
5. In the Active Measurement list, select the predicted measurement the Predicted Response list in the bottom section, select Predicted Process Inks Response Origin and then click Report.... at the bottom right side.
6. In In the Customer box, enter the report name: XX verification report to verify predicted response (where xx is your initials).
7. Select In the Comparison section at the bottom, select the Compare to check box, which automatically select the Calibration Target.
8. Click Save and choose a location.
9. Open the generated PDF to view the report.

Task 2: Generate a Verification report to compare the measured response to the target response

1. In ColorFlow, click the Print Curves tab.
2. In the Calibration Curves table, select XX new print calibration curve for gray balance.
3. In the viewer window, click the Verification icon Image RemovedImage Added in the connector between the CMYK Reference and the Offset Press panels.
4. In a real-life situation, you need to export the measurement chart you used to characterize the uncalibrated color response, output from Prinergy, print it using Prinergy, on the press and measure it in ColorFlow to characterize the calibrated color response in order to be able to generate the a Verification report. For  
   But for the purpose of this training, you will import a measurement data:
   1. Click the Measurements tab tab at the top of the window.
   2. In the Inactive Measurements tab, click the Measured Responses section in the upper area, click Import.
   3. Import the verification data file (Approval_GRACoL_VerificationData.cgt).
      The data file appears in the Inactive Measurements  Measured Responses list. 
5. In the Inactive Measurements list, select the imported measurement and then click Report.the Measured Responses list, select the imported measurement and click Report... under the Measured Responses section in the middle area. 
6. In the Customer box in the Print Report Definition dialog that appears, enter the report name:   XX verification report to verify calibrated color response (where xx is your initials).
7. Select the Compare to check box check box under the Comparison section at the bottom.
8. Click Select Calibration Target.
9. Leave the Color Difference Metric: as the default DeltaE ab (1976)
10. Click Save and choose a location.
11. Open the generated PDF to view the report.

Outcome

You have generated two Verification reports to verify if the predicted color response and the measured color response match the target.

Aufgaben

Ziel
Sie überprüfen mit Hilfe von Prüfberichten, ob das Farbein-/ausgabeverhalten einer Druckkalibrierungskurve dem Ziel entspricht. In dieser Übung wird vorausgesetzt, dass Sie in einer der vorangegangenen Übungen bereits eine Druckkalibrierungskurve XX neue Druckkalibrierungskurve für Graustufen erstellt haben.

Aufgabe 1: Erzeugen eines Prüfberichts zum Vergleich des erwarteten mit dem anvisierten Verhalten

1. Klicken Sie in ColorFlow auf die Registerkarte Druckkurven.
2. Wählen Sie in der Tabelle Kalibrierungskurven den Eintrag XX neue Kalibrierungskurve für Graustufen.
3. Klicken Sie im Vorschaufenster auf das Symbol Überprüfung .
4. Klicken Sie im Dialogfeld Prüfung Kalibrierte Ausgabe auf die Registerkarte Messungen.
5. Wählen Sie in der Liste Aktive Messung die erwartete Messung, und klicken Sie auf Bericht.
6. Geben Sie im Feld Kunde den Berichtnahmen ein: XX verification report to verify predicted response (wobei xx Ihren Initialen entspricht).
7. Aktivieren Sie das Kontrollkästchen Vergleich mit.
8. Klicken Sie auf Speichern, und wählen Sie einen Ablageort.
9. Öffnen Sie die erzeugte PDF, um den Bericht anzuzeigen.

Cette activité suppose que vous avez déjà créé une courbe de calibrage d'impression  Nouvelle courbe de calibrage d'impression pour la balance des gris XX lors d'une activité précédente . 

Tâche 1 : générer un rapport de vérification pour comparer la réponse prévue à la réponse cible

1. Dans ColorFlow, cliquez sur l'onglet Courbes d'impression.
2. Dans le tableau Courbes de calibrage, sélectionnez Nouvelle courbe de calibrage d'impression pour la balance des gris XX.
3. Dans la fenêtre de visualisation, cliquez sur l'icône Vérification .
4. Dans la boîte de dialogue Vérification de sortie calibrée, cliquez sur l'onglet Mesures.
5. Dans la liste Mesure active, sélectionnez la mesure prévue, puis cliquez sur Rapport.

Tâche 2 : générer un rapport de vérification pour comparer la réponse mesurée à la réponse cible

1. Dans ColorFlow, cliquez sur l'onglet Courbes d'impression.

3. Dans la fenêtre de visualisation, cliquez sur l'icône Vérification Image RemovedImage Added.
4.
