You can set up central folders, and configure multiple installations to share the files.

Using a central Mac OS, Microsoft Windows, or UNIX-based server ensures that everyone is using the latest revision of a particular file. Depending on your requirements, you can choose which of the following steps to implement.

1. Set up shared Templates, Marks, and Resources folders.
   Note: These folders are interdependent and cannot be shared individually. The software must be able to find these folders when it starts.
1. Choose the software installation folder that will share its templates, marks, and other resources (common colors, folios, fold patterns).
2. Prepare the central resource lists by adding any items that need to be shared, deleting any items that are not needed, and moving any desired files from other installations to their respective folders at the central installation.
   Note: The correct folder names and structure are important.
3. On the Folders tab in the Preferences dialog box at each installation that will use these folders, set the new Folder Containing Template, Marks, and Resources Folders path.
2. Set up a shared Printers folder, and/or move the files from one installation to another.
1. Create the new Printers folder at any accessible location on your network, or choose an existing software installation's Printers folder.
2. At one of the installations, add any required media, stock, tile sets, and device PPD files that you want to share or move.
3. Use the Migration tool, or manually move the contents of the Printers folder that contains the prepared media resources to the new folder.
   Note: If you manually move the files, be sure to include all the subfolders and all the files that are at the root of the Printers folder, including the output resource list files: printers.psm (media), tileset.psm (tile sets), and sheet.xml (stock).
4. On the Folders tab in the Preferences dialog box at each installation that will use this folder, set the new Printers Folder path.
5. Restart the software to activate the new location.
   Note: The software must be able to find this folder when it starts.
3. Set up a shared compensation sets folder.
   1. At one of the installations, prepare the scaling sets that you want to share.
   2. Move the folder that contains the sets to any accessible location on your network, or share the folder that you prepared.
   3. On the Folders tab in the Preferences dialog box at each installation that will use this folder, set the new Web Growth Compensation Sets Path.
4. Optional: Manage the Templates, Marks, Resources, Printers, and compensation sets folders by deleting any files that will not be used by the installations.

Puede configurar carpetas centralizadas y varias instalaciones para compartir los archivos.
El uso de un servidor central basado en Mac OS, Microsoft Windows o UNIX garantiza que todos los usuarios utilicen la última revisión de un archivo en concreto. Según sus requisitos, puede elegir cuál de los siguientes pasos implementar.

1. Configure las carpetas Templates, Marks y Resources compartidas.
   Nota: Estas carpetas son interdependientes y no se puede compartir por separado. El software debe ser capaz de hallar estas carpetas cuando se inicia.
   1. Seleccione la carpeta de instalación del software donde se van a compartir las plantillas, las marcas y otros recursos (colores, folios y patrones de plegado comunes).
   2. Prepare las listas de recursos centrales agregando los elementos que necesite que estén compartidos, eliminando los elementos que no se necesiten y moviendo los que se deseen de otras instalaciones a las carpetas respectivas de la instalación central.
      Nota: Los nombres y la estructura de carpetas correcta son importantes.
   3. En la ficha Carpetas del cuadro de diálogo Preferencias de cada instalación que vaya a utilizar estas carpetas, defina la nueva ruta de Carpeta de plantillas, marcas y recursos.
2. Configure una carpeta Printers compartida o mueva los archivos entre instalaciones.
   
   1. Cree la nueva carpeta Printers en cualquier ubicación a la que se pueda acceder en la red, o bien elija una carpeta Printers de la instalación del software existente.
   2. En una de las instalaciones, agregue los materiales, el stock, los conjuntos de mosaicos y los archivos PPD de dispositivo necesarios que desee compartir o mover.
   3. Utilice la herramienta de migración o mueva manualmente el contenido de la carpeta Printers que contiene los recursos de material preparados a la carpeta nueva.
      Nota: Si mueve los archivos manualmente, asegúrese de incluir todas las subcarpetas y todos los archivos que se encuentren en la raíz de la carpeta Printers, incluidos los archivos de la lista de recursos de salida: printers.psm (materiales), tileset.psm (conjuntos de mosaicos) y sheet.xml (stock).
   4. En la ficha Carpetas del cuadro de diálogo Preferencias de cada instalación que vaya a utilizar esta carpeta, defina la nueva ruta de la Carpeta de impresoras.
   5. Reinicie el software para activar la nueva ubicación.
      Nota: El software debe ser capaz de hallar esta carpeta cuando se inicia.
3. Configure una carpeta de conjuntos de compensación compartida.
   
   1. En una de las instalaciones, prepare los conjuntos de escalas que desee compartir.
   2. Mueva la carpeta que contiene los conjuntos a una ubicación a la que se pueda acceder de la red, o bien comparta la carpeta que ha preparado.
   3. En la ficha Carpetas del cuadro de diálogo Preferencias de cada instalación que vaya a utilizar esta carpeta, defina la nueva Ruta de conjuntos de compensación de crecimiento de la bobina.
4. Opcional: gestione las carpetas Templates, Marks, Resources, Printers y la de conjuntos de compensación eliminando los archivos que las instalaciones no utilicen.
